The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree will provide additional education for nurses in upper-level administration and executive roles. The Nurse Executive role prepares top level nurse executives for leadership positions in a health system. The program outcomes are consistent with the American Organization of Nursing Leaders (AONL) guidelines for nurse executive practice. The course content focuses on executive leadership skills, working with vulnerable populations, fiscal and human resource management, quality magnet achievement, emerging technology, and organizational research in clinical issues. Students participate in executive internships throughout the program in their home area.

Plan, direct, or coordinate medical and health services in hospitals, clinics, managed care organizations, public health agencies, or similar organizations.

Obtain and complete the ¶¶MÅ®ÆÍ Graduate application online. Do not send application materials to the School of Nursing. All application materials must be completed by the posted deadline for consideration for each concentration area

Scholarship
There is one scholarship available to Nurse Executive Post-Master’s D.N.P students. A competitive process is used to select the qualified award recipient after completion of two semesters in the program.
